Students Jorge Angarita, Lauren Braun, Russell Flench, and Janice Wong created 312Park, a smartphone app designed to help drivers decode parking in Chicago in April Starr's Service Design Workshop. April challenged teams to develop services that harness the vast amount of data and data exhaust collected by city government. The team used data to explore and improve the process of finding and paying for parking. 312Park transforms this process of incoherent regulations into an efficient, seamless, and joyful experience.
Core77 honored Team Starr by awarding them winner in the service student category. Read more about the project and the award here.
