ID students place in 2017 Rotman Design Challenge

This year, Telus, a telecom company in Canada posed the Rotman Design Challenge: "How might Telus develop, attract, and retain top talent to achieve this aspiration over the next five years?"

Five students from the Institute of Design—Sarah Braunstein (MDes 2017), Marcelo Kingston (MDM 2017), Shangyanyan Li (MDes 2017), Kira Novak (MDes 2018), and John Pew (MDes + MBA 2018)—teamed up to tackle the challenge as Team Co. They took third place in the competition with their concept Mosaic, an infrastructure for project-based work within a global corporation. Mosaic reframes the work an employee does from a core role to a series of projects, and gives them a tool to personalize and craft their own development.
