Professor Laura Forlano shares the latest from TEK-TILES team’s smart textiles

"What if clothing could change color depending on your location or context? What if it could fold itself or change its shape throughout the day? What if different patterns could be knit into a garment in order to activate an augmented reality (AR) application on a mobile phone?"

Associate professor Laura Forlano is spending the summer working on the Pratt Institute Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator’s TEK-TILES, a project that combines materials exploration with electronics prototyping. She recently shared the team's progress on the BF+DA blog.
