Stan Ruecker as part of the “A Day in the Life of the Digital Humanities” team was announced as the winner of the 2014 Canadian Society for Digital Humanities (CSDH/SCHN) Outstanding Contribution Award.

The A Day in the Life of the Digital Humanities (Day of DH) team was announced as the winner of the 2014 Canadian Society for Digital Humanities (CSDH/SCHN) Outstanding Contribution Award. The Day of DH founders ran the project out of the University of Alberta from its inception in 2009 until 2012. The six founding members include IIT Institute of Design full-time faculty member Stan Ruecker.

Day of DH is an annual community documentation project. It brings together digital humanists to reflect on their work by documenting a day in their life through photographs and commentary on a Day of DH blog. The team has published essays, had stories written about the project, and excerpts from the series have helped to define digital humanities in multiple publications.

Congratulations to all the founding members: Geoffrey Rockwell, Stan Ruecker, Peter Organisciak, Megan Meredith-Lobay, Kamal Ranaweera, and Julianne Nyhan.
