The Center for Health Design was started in 1993 as a team of forward thinkers with a vision for creating healthcare facilities that promote healthier environments for patients and staff. Since its inception, the Center has established a proven track record of creating, launching, and delivering programs that provide value to the healthcare industry through design research, education, and advocacy.
Professor Vijay Kumar was invited to join the organizations advisory board this spring and recently attended their first advisory meeting in San Diego on October 16.
Vijay adds value to the Center’s future vision as they explore new opportunities while reframing where and how healthcare is delivered—i.e. from traditional spaces (like clinics) to home, from illness to wellness, from treatment to preventative care.
