Project Coordinator, Public Sector Programs at Elevate Energy
Anthena Gore is a social design and impact strategist who believes in the power of research, discourse, and design thinking to produce actionable solutions for intractable problems. Over a seven-year career in strategy and sustainability, Anthena has worked with community-based organizations, businesses, startups, and municipalities to access timely information and tools to create social impact.
At Elevate Energy, a nonprofit that designs and implements clean energy and energy efficiency programs that ensure smarter energy use, Anthena manages energy efficiency outreach services to economically-distressed communities. Previously, Anthena worked on energy, waste and internal operations projects at Delta Institute, including the award-winning smart grid energy management application Lumin.
Anthena currently serves as a council member for the Chicago Community Climate Partnership, a coalition of more than 70 organizations working to strengthen the region through inclusive climate action. Previously, Anthena served as the strategy and operations advisor to the Environmentalists of Color Network, creating the base operating and advisory council structures to help engage and retain the more than 700 network members. Anthena has also served as a collaborator with City Open Workshop, using design strategies to improve a startup urban farm and market in Bronzeville.
