exploreID: Interaction Design + Healthcare
6:00-8:00pm CST
3137 S. Federal Street 2nd Floor
Chicago, IL 60616
Our products are no longer just products, they are systems of engagement––sometimes with minds of their own. Last year, ID students explored the potential value of intelligent agents and artificial intelligence to support behavior change for caregivers of children with asthma. Now we are creating concepts and a mobile application prototype for dCAPE (digital CHICAGO Asthma Plan for Everyone). Join ID assistant professor Tom MacTavish and ID students Ye Jin Han and Zhongyang Li to learn more about their work, interaction design, emerging technologies in healthcare, and other ways we examine and create digital experiences at ID.
About the exploreID series
IIT Institute of Design (ID) gives students the freedom to explore a wide breadth of design disciplines by offering flexible master’s programs. This spring, a series of events—many of them in our new home—will touch on the vast array of pathways students pursue during and after ID, including design research, digital experience, organizing for innovation, and product management. Attend to learn more about the diversity of courses we offer and what design means at ID.
Our new home in the Kaplan Institute, just south of the Loop, is near the 35th-Bronzeville-IIT Red and Green Line stops, 90/94, and Lake Shore Drive.
