Objective & Outcomes
This class is about making. Through a semester-long project, students will use a variety of mediums, from digital to paper, to explore the principles of interaction design and bring compelling UX designs to life. Students will push the boundaries of interaction conventions to create experiences that are not only easy to use but solve problems in a delightful and engaging way.
Through prototyping, sketching, and class critique, students will gain an understanding of the behaviors, vocabulary, and principles of interaction design. Students will create a tangible prototype illustrating their concept that they will be able to present in their portfolios.
Upon completing the course, students will be able to engage in an interaction challenge and bring forth informed, unique, and compelling solutions to consider.
