Stroke is a major cause of disability and death in the US that disproportionately affects minorities. Students in professor Tom MacTavish's interaction design workshop are exploring ways to increase awareness and motivate appropriate actions to improve access to medical care. Their work is in support of a PCORI grant, "Community Engagement for Early Recognition and Immediate Action in Stroke (CEERIAS)" with guidance from a co-principal investigation, Dr. Neelum Aggrawal from Rush University Medical Center.
