Design as Activism Symposium
About
Focused on Chicago as a locus for social change, the Design as Activism symposium featured day-long activations across the city, followed by a second day of invited speakers, workshops, and conversations.
Many of us are passionate about practicing design in a way that centers equity, inclusivity, and sustainability, but often find ourselves unsure of the practical steps to take. Through this symposium, we aimed to provide actionable strategies and methods for implementing values-driven design.

Design as Activism is part of Art Design Chicago, a citywide collaboration initiated by the Terra Foundation for American Art that highlights the city’s artistic heritage and creative communities.
