The global mobilization of resources and knowledge in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a spur of new solutions across borders. A team of designers, researchers, and faculty at IIT Institute of Design (ID) have conducted a real-time analysis of emerging infrastructures for public health from a tactical design perspective. ID Associate Professor Carlos Teixeira conducted this study in collaboration with André Nogueira, ID alum and Associate Researcher at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. This webinar will present learnings to better prepare for the future and equip ourselves with design solutions that can address public health needs in times of pandemics.
IIT Institute of Design (ID) builds responsible, cooperative, intelligent futures. Founded by László Moholy-Nagy as The New Bauhaus in 1937, ID is known for pioneering human-centered design and systems design. Today ID is home to the only US design school devoted completely to graduate students. But ID is more than a graduate school. ID is an international community of learners and practitioners who are addressing the biggest issues of our time by eliciting a power unique to humans: creativity. Learn more about ID at id.iit.edu.
