Breath by Breath: Building Resilience with Asthma

Four Chicago mothers discuss their challenges in managing their childrens’ asthma conditions. Complicated by stress and societal stigma, these mothers have developed coping strategies that emphasize the importance of support groups in schools, alongside clinicians and other families. As they value their children’s self-awareness and communication, they each aim to maintain their health despite the challenges of their childrens’ asthma diagnosis.
